Piyanut Wilhelmy-Cavallo was born in Bangkok and grew up in Saarbruecken/Germany. She finished her studies in Engineering in the field of Photographic and Media Science at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne/Germany. Her career as a visual artist started in 2009 as therapy for the loss of her parents. Art became a significant part of her life and healing process. In 2011 Piyanut’s art progressed to include clay sculptures in addition to her work in oil pastels, water colors, oil colors and acrylic paint.
In addition to her career as an artist, Piyanut works at the German Embassy in Bangkok.
Piyanut’s artwork exemplifies and reflects her inner feelings through her use of vivid colors and emotional subject matter.
